Two Arrested In Fatal Worcester Shooting Of 17-Year-Old Boy

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two people were arrested in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy that happened earlier this month in Worcester, authorities announced.

Worcester Police arrested Kidam Oquendo, 21, and Alexis Medeiros, 18, in Gardner on Friday night.

Police said on Monday, Feb. 12, officers responded to shots fired in the area of Shannon Street at around 3:16 a.m. Officers found evidence of a shooting, but could not find a victim.

Police checked local hospitals for potential gunshot victims and found a 17-year-old victim. He was pronounced dead, police said.

Oquendo faces multiple charges, including Armed Assault to Murder and Attempted Assault and Battery by Firearm. Medeiros is charged with Accessory After the Fact and Obstruction of Justice.
