BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — As a weekend of uncomfortably hot temperatures approaches the area, several beaches across Massachusetts are closed across the state on Friday.
Most of the closures were because of high bacteria levels detected in the water.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health updates the list of closed beaches every day at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. during beach season.
