BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced motor vehicle inspections will start up again on Wednesday, July 24.
The Registry of Motor Vehicle (RMV) said in a press release that most inspection stations are now operational. The RMV also extended inspection deadlines until Friday, August 10.
This is extension is eligible for owners who needed a re-test on failed inspections and who had inspection dates expired between July 19 to July 30.

This extension does not apply to motorcycle owners as their inspections have been up and running for the last several days.
Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines cancelled hundreds more flights Tuesday morning due to the technology disruptions. U.S Department of Transportation is investigating the airline’s response during the IT outage.
