Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was taken off the team's injury report released on Friday (September 20) and will play in Sunday's (September 22) Week 3 game against the Houston Texans, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

"#Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (quad) is off the injury report and good to go Sunday vs. Houston. WR Jordan Addison (ankle) and edge Dallas Turner (knee) are out," Pelissero wrote on his X account.

Justin suffered the injury during the Vikings' 23-17 win against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday (September 14). The former LSU standout was helped off the field by Vikings staffers and taken into the blue tent to be examined before going to the locker room. Niners All-Pro defensive end Nick Bosa was also hurt on the same play.

Jefferson recorded four receptions for 133 yards and one touchdown on a 97-yard pass from quarterback Sam Darnold in the second quarter.

Jefferson was limited to 10 games due to a hamstring injury in 2023, but still managed to record more than 1,000 receiving yards for the fourth consecutive season. The former LSU standout signed a four-year, $140 million contract extension, which includes $110 million guaranteed, with the Vikings this offseason, which made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

Minnesota was already without Addison, the team's No. 2 wide receiver, who re-aggravated his injured ankle during the team's Week 1 win against the New York Giants on September 8.
