Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell's home address was reportedly leaked by his daughter's classmate on social media earlier this year, which eventually led to the family selling their home, following harassment and unwanted visitors, according to the Detroit News.

Multiple people reportedly showed up at the Campbell family's home in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, on January 28, hours after the Lions' NFC Championship Game road loss to the San Francisco 49ers, according to a police report obtained by the newspaper on Tuesday (September 24). A security official for the Lions contacted Bloomfield Township police to report that Campbell's address was shared publicly on social media on the night of the incident.

An investigation revealed that male high school classmate of Campbell's daughter shared the family's address as part of a caption that also stated, "Dumb f**k trying to go for it," on Snapchat in reference to the coach's decision late in the game. Campbell and his wife, Holly, hadn't yet returned home from the Bay Area at the time, but were "nervous for the safety of their daughter," who was present at home with her boyfriend when the doxxing occurred.

The boyfriend reportedly "went outside in his vehicle and flashed his headlights at anyone approaching causing these people to turn off and leave and the parents told their daughter to leave the home with her boyfriend, the report states. A police presence outside the Campbell family's home during the next few days.

The classmate was identified on January 29 and questioned by investigators, at which point he claimed he and his friends were "distraught" by the Lions' loss and "found humor" in the Snapchat post. The student said he and his friends drove to the home, parked on the street and yelled "not nice things toward the house" before leaving the scene.

A police investigator informed Campbell's wife that the incident didn't meet the standard to file criminal charges and the family moved to an unidentified new location earlier this year. Campbell led the Lions to their first division title, NFC Championship Game appearance and playoff victories since 1991.
