Tennis legend Serena Williams said "all is OK" after undergoing a procedure to remove a benign branchial cyst "the size of a small grapefruit."

Williams, 43, shared a post on TikTok revealing that she found a lump on her neck in May and underwent an MRI exam, with doctors initially telling her it didn't need to be removed, "but it kept growing." Williams' doctors later advised her to have the procedure after additional tests, including a biopsy that was negative for cancer.

"So this is me removing it. I am feeling so grateful, and fortunate everything worked out, and most of all I'm healthy," Williams wrote in the TikTok caption.

The tennis legend shared a separate post on her X account confirming that she was "still recovering but getting better."

Williams, widely regarded as the greatest female tennis player of all-time, retired in 2022 with 23 career Grand Slam singles titles, the most of the Open Era and ranked as the world No. 1 singles player by the Women's Tennis Association for 319 weeks, including a joint-record 186 weeks. Williams' husband, Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, also dealt with a health scare earlier this year when he announced his surprise" Lyme disease diagnosis after undergoing a full-body scan in July.
