BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Decisive Democratic victories in Massachusetts are sending all incumbents representing the state in Congress back to Capitol Hill.
Democratic Rep. Stephen Lynch beat his Republican challenger Robert Burke in a landslide victory, and Democratic Rep. Richard Neal also beat his independent challenger Nadia Donya Milleron in a decisive victory.
In the Senate, Elizabeth Warren secured her third term as a senior senator representing the Commonwealth. Warren defeated her Republican challenger John Deaton in the race for Senate.
Warren addressed her supporters on Tuesday night once victory was declared.
“Victory is possible only because of you. Twelve years ago, you took a chance on a candidate who had never run for public office,” Warren said in her remarks.
Warren will serve through 2030 when her seat is up for election once again. The other seat, held by Democrat Senator Ed Markey, is up for grabs in the 2026 Election.
Lynch and Neal will serve two-year terms in the House of Representatives through 2026, when their seats will be up for reelection.
