BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Some Delta Airlines passengers flying from Logan Airport will have the option of getting a meal from Shake Shack on their flight.
The meals will only be served to first-class passengers on flights over 900 miles long, according to Delta. But they have to pre-select the meal before takeoff.
The partnership kicks off on Dec. 1. They’re starting the new meal on flights out of Boston, but Delta said it plans to expand across the country in 2025.
“A delicious cheeseburger is an iconic comfort food – our customers know that which is why burgers are one of the top ordered menu items we offer, and we’re thrilled to elevate the offering with Shake Shack,” Stephanie Laster, managing director of Onboard Service, said to Delta News Hub.
Along with a cheeseburger, the meal will come with chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie.
Delta said its collaboration with Shake Shack is based on a long-established relationship with Union Square Hospitality Group and its founder Danney Meyer, who also founded Shake Shack.
