BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Thursday’s snowstorm brought slick and slippery conditions to the roads, which resulted in several car accidents.
Massachusetts State Police reported 244 crashes on Thursday, a number which was more than the number of crashes from the last two weeks.
WBZ NewsRadio spoke to Charles, who happened to have a unique perspective on the situation.
“I’m a personal injury lawyer so I see tons of car accidents,” he said. “A lot of times [crashes] come down to inattention, failure to keep a proper lookout, not controlling your vehicle, or underestimating the conditions, so we all need to make an effort to be safe on the road for sure.”

Paul from Danvers was not surprised to hear about the high number of road crashes and stuck vehicles.
“Yeah, it seems that when the snow starts flying, people forget how to drive!” he quipped.
He admitted that it could always be worse, however.
“You go someplace where they never get snow and when they get it it’s like a catastrophe!”
State Police also reported 169 calls for assistance on Thursday, which was significantly higher than data from previous weeks.
Data showed that 11 crashes on Thursday led to injuries, although no deaths were reported.
