BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) Massachusetts is getting a taste of spring this week, as the ice and snow begin to melt.

Temperatures will reach the 40s or 50s through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

It’s a welcome change for many locals, as the ice created dangerous conditions throughout the state.

Last week, hospitals in Greater Boston were full of people suffering from ice-related injuries, CBS News Boston reported.

There’s also a chance of rain on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Friday will introduce a few days of cold, with lows in the 20s and teens.
