BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) It’s been an unseasonably cold week around Massachusetts, but it’s expected to be marginally warmer Thursday.

Temperatures will hit the high 40s on Wednesday, which is 5 to 10 degrees lower than average temperatures for early April, according to the National Weather Service.

The breeze is also a factor. The NWS issued a Wind Advisory throughout the state during the day on Tuesday, and wind chills later that night hit the teens and single digits. Inland Massachusetts will drop to the 20s Wednesday night.

On Thursday, highs will be in the 40s and 50s throughout the state, with some sun peeking through, according to Accuweather. Those north and west of Boston could also see some wet snow mixed with rain Thursday night.

The sun won’t be making much of an appearance after Thursday and into the weekend, according to NWS. April showers will come to us instead. Monday will really start to feel like spring, with sunshine and expected highs in the upper 50s.
