BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston is getting some summer sun this week.

Highs will reach 88 degrees around Boston on Wednesday and could reach 90 degrees in some parts of the state, according to the National Weather Service.

You might also be seeing some hazy skies Wednesday, which the NWS says is passing smoke from the wildfires in Canada.

The heat will be in full swing on Thursday, with the NWS predicting highs of 90 to even 95 degrees around Boston. The majority of the state will bring moderate heat risks, which can impact those sensitive to heat, especially those who are without cooling systems and are not properly hydrated, according to the NWS.

The AccuWeather forecast also predicts significant humidity on Thursday, and those northwest of Boston could see some evening thunderstorms.

Things will cool way down this weekend, with cloudy conditions, rain and highs in the mid to low 70s, according to the AccuWeather forecast.
