BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — There was no shortage of food options at the 2024 Greenway Food Truck Festival on Saturday.

20 local food trucks lined a four-block stretch along the Rose Kennedy Greenway, offering everything from bubble tea and sopapillas to chicken tikka masala and po' boys.

"Our food is globally inspired street food," said Nathan Cohen, operator of Wanderlust. "So today we did a Danish hot dog, kind of a normal hot dog with a bunch of toppings covered by pickles. And we did a Korean fried chicken sandwich; that was the first thing that got sold out."

Kim and Tiana were chowing down on American and Havarti and pulled chicken grilled cheese sandwiches from Bees and Thank You, which aims to educate people about the importance of honey bees and their population decline.

"We're just down for the fun," Kim said.

As attendees young and old took a culinary tour of Boston's best on wheels, they also got to sip at beer gardens run by Night Shift and Trillium breweries, shop local artists and merchants, and take a ride on the Greenway carousel.

PhuongDuy Tran, Programs Manager at the Greenway Conservancy, said the festival signals the start of a busy season of events for locals and tourists alike.

"We have an awesome season, we’re looking [at] over 450 events this season. They’re all free," Tran told WBZ NewsRadio.
