BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Fenway Park is more than the home for the Red Sox. For the next couple days, Upper Deck Golf transformed the stadium into a special golf experience.
“Yeah, it’s the one time in Fenway we encourage not hitting it out of the park here today at Upper Deck Golf,” Nick Bonner of Upper Deck Golf told WBZ NewsRadio.
Upper Deck Golf creates unique golf experiences inside ballparks and stadiums all around the county. From Friday, Aug. 16 to Sunday, Aug. 19, Boston’s Fenway Park turned into a 9-hole golf course.
Bonner said that the event at Fenway is one of their bigger events and estimates over 10 thousand people to come through.
Some attendees told WBZ NewsRadio that they never though they would be holding a golf club in Fenway. “We’ve been here for a concert, but never been here for something like this,” one Fenway golfer said. “This is awesome.”
If driving clubs is not your thing, there is also a club house and small challenges to encourage engagement from players of all levels, even beginners.
“We also actually have a driving challenge, outing challenge, and a closes-to-the-pin, so a full immersive golf experience here,” Bonner added.
Limited tickets are still available with prices starting at $90 to $110. For more information on this event, visit here.
