A Story To Remember: Getting Married In Winter During A Pandemic

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The coronavirus pandemic has changed everything—from how we work to the way we say “I do.”

While many couples have decided to either cancel or postpone their weddings, some are choosing to proceed with celebrating their big day; by making some pretty big changes to their ceremony.

Sean and Katie Doyle spoke to WBZ NewsRadio about their January wedding in Middleton, Massachusetts.

The couple said their friends and family were social distancing and stood far back from the gazebo where they delivered their vows.

“To hear the roar coming from a hundred yards away was definitely pretty unique,” Tom Doyle said.

Even though the wedding had no hugging or dancing, the couple plans to have a proper ceremony when it is deemed safe.
