"The health and safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers, local communities, and partners at Acadia National Park is our number one priority," the park said in a press release. "The National Park Service (NPS) is working servicewide with federal, state, and local authorities to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic."

The Park Loop Road, restrooms, carriage roads, campgrounds, visitor centers, and visitor services are closed indefinitely. Services that "support resource protection" will be allowed to continue during the closure.
