ACTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Friday, the Acton Police Department issued a missing persons advisory for an 83-year-old man that disappeared from the Main Street area in Acton Friday evening.

The APD says Huanlu Wang of Acton was reported missing at around 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

Police say Wang has walked the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in the past, and has on occasion traveled a significant distance from his home. Wang is described as an 83-year-old Asian man, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and baseball cap. Officials shared a photo of Wang alongside the advisory.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding Wang, while officers search the area with Massachusetts State Police K-9 units and other agencies.
