ACTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Acton Chief of Police Richard Burrows provided an update on the investigation of a hit-and-run incident that injured a 13-year-old boy last week. Officials say they have taken the suspected vehicle involved into custody, after detectives reviewed nearby surveillance footage and obtained a search warrant.
The hit-and-run happened on Great Road near Harris Street on Wednesday at around 6:15 p.m. The victim was struck while walking in a crosswalk.
Though no charges have been filed related to this incident, the APD says the investigation remains ongoing.

Officials thanked members of the community in their update, for providing tips and surveillance in the days following the incident.
According to WBZ-TV, an Acton business owner offered a $5,000 cash reward to anyone that shares related information to help find and identify the responsible driver.
