WOBURN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – A local non-profit received a huge paycheck after a celebrity won big on a game show.
Actress Melissa Joan Hart appeared on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune Sunday night. After guessing the winning phrase of “bran muffins” in just one second, Hart became the first celebrity to walk away with $1 million.

Matt Stone is the Executive Director of Youth Villages for Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Stone said he and the organization are incredibly grateful for Hart’s support.
“This money will actually go toward our LifeSet program, which helps young adults who are aging out of the foster care system to live independently."
As an added bonus, Stone said he plans on serving bran muffins at the office to celebrate the victory.
