MANCHESTER, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Adam Montgomery has been found guilty of second-degree murder for the 2019 death of his five-year-old daughter, Harmony.
The New Hampshire jury also found Montgomery, 34, guilty of second-degree assault and felony witness tampering.
This verdict comes after a three-week trial that included testimony from Montgomery’s estranged wife, Kayla. She is serving time for a perjury conviction related to Harmony’s disappearance.
Adam Montgomery was not present for the trial. He has been serving a 30-year sentence on unrelated gun possession charges.

Harmony was reported missing in December 2021. The Manchester Police Department said in a statement that "a day hasn't gone by that detectives didn't work on this case. Many days and long hours have been spent conducting interviews, collecting evidence, and searching multiple locations."
Harmony's body has still not been found. Manchester police have a dedicated tipline for anybody with leads or information on her whereabouts.
Manchester police Chief Allen Aldenberg said that he would not give up on his search to find Harmony's remains.
"...This girl deserves better than the life that she had."
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu thanked the judge, jury and Department of Justice in a statement released after Thursday's verdict.
"Adam Montgomery is a monster and deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison," Sununu said in the statement.
