CONCORD, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Adam Montgomery has been sentenced to a minimum of 45 years in prison for the killing of his daughter Harmony back in 2019 while facing additional time for other charges in this case.
In total, he's facing a minimum of 56 years in prison after also being found guilty of second-degree assault, witness tampering, falsifying physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse, according to court documents.
Prosecutors had recommended that 34-year-old Montgomery serve a sentence of 56 years to life behind bars.
He's already serving decades in prison on unrelated gun charges.
Montogomery admitted to moving or hiding his daughter’s body but said that he did not kill his daughter.
The lead prosecutor, Benjamin Agati, said Montgomery is heartless, immoral, selfish, and unapologetic
Harmony was 5 years old when she went missing, and her disappearance was not reported for almost two years after the fact.
The case was a further reminder of the systemic weaknesses in a state system designed to protect vulnerable children from harm.
