Aerosmith, New Kids On The Block To Play Fenway Park

BOSTON (WBZ News Radio) — Two of Boston's biggest bands are performing back-to-back nights at Fenway Park at the end of Summer 2020.

Boston's own Aerosmith will be playing Fenway on September 18, followed by hometown heroes New Kids On The Block on September 19.

It's part of a weekend billed as Boston's Biggest Bands, marking the only show for NKOTB in 2020. The group promises to play all the fan favorites like "Hanging' Tough" and "Step By Step." NKOTB will be joined by special guests Bel Biv Devoe with "many more surprises along the way."

"To be playing in Boston with these legendary artists, this sacred venue, is an honor," New Kids On The Block member Donnie Wahlberg said about the upcoming show. "We'll be pulling out all the stops to create a celebration unlike anything our city has ever seen."

Fans will get to witness Boston-native band Extreme opening for Aerosmith as they play their hometown in the midst of celebrating 50 years together as a group. Aerosmith's performance also comes on the heels of the band members being honored as the MusiCared Person of the Year for their considerable philanthropic efforts and undeniable impact on American music history.

According to LiveNation, tickets for Aerosmith will go on sale to the public on January 31st at 10 a.m. ET, and NKOTB tickets will go on sale two hours later at noon ET.

If you're a Citi cardmember you will be able to purchase tickets early through Citi Entertainment starting January 28th at 10 a.m.
