BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Attorney General Andrea Campbell was a featured speaker at a Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs forum on Thursday. The forum is a chance for elected leaders to speak to businesses, an event that Governor Maura Healey participated in back in February.
She spoke about the many orders coming from the Trump Administration, some of which involve cuts to education. Campbell had some choice words towards the White House to follow the barrage of lawsuits coming from Democratic AG’s around the Country.
She challenged the Trump Administration to “bring it on” in reference to those court cases, accusing President Trump of operating like a king. Campbell also claims those very cuts that the Trump Administration is proposing towards the Department of Education and his plan to end birthright citizenship can threaten the checks and balance system.
Campbell has also pursued lawsuits against the White House over cuts to medical and scientific research. Campbell believes if Trump is allowed to continue these cuts, laws will ultimately mean nothing.
