HINGHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — As boaters prepare for Hurricane Lee this Saturday, the Hingham Maritime Center (HMC) took advantage of one last day out on the water.
The HMC has already started preparing for the storm, but Head of Rowing Sarah Dewey said they still had rowing programs going on Thursday morning.
“We are very aware that Lee is coming,” said Dewey. “We use lots of predictive software to decide whether or not it’s safe to go on the water.”

Just like the fishermen making the most of these final days, Dewey is confident the HMC will not have any issues making final preparations to protect their boats when Lee roughens the waters.
“We plan to do all of that preparation this afternoon and tomorrow in anticipation of Saturday,” said Dewey.
