BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – One of Boston’s most beloved traditions is starting early this year.

Allston Christmas usually begins at the end of August when all the college students’ leases end and they move out but the city has already been receiving complaints of abandoned mattresses, couches and other types of furniture this week.

“I actually saw a chair when I was walking,” says Northeastern student, Beckett. “I was like, ‘is that free?’”

Although furniture is not all people are finding. Another student, named Zach, says he found electronics like a flat screen television and laptop

“People throw out brand new stuff,” Zach says. “You can get anything.”
