BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A technical issue with American Airlines' check-in system caused huge lines at Logan Airport and around the country early Friday morning.
Hundreds of passengers at Logan were stuck waiting to check in and get through security Friday morning.
The airline said the issue was with their vendor Sabre.
Officials at several US airports reported that the issue had been resolved by about 6:00 AM, but that delays would impact travelers.
The issue was also experienced by JetBlue. Officials didn't specify as to the nature of the issue, but backups were reported at airports across the country, including JFK International in New York, Philadelphia International, and Logan.
Some American and JetBlue flights were delayed Friday morning, with many of those flights being pushed two to three hours.
