BREWSTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Animal Rescue League in Brewster is looking for a new home for a 6-month-old male lab mix named Biscuit, who suffered a gunshot wound at his former home in Mississippi.
Biscuit was brought to Massachusetts from a shelter in Mississippi. The ARL said his former owner gave Biscuit up after the dog's head was grazed by a bullet when a neighbor disengaged a firearm.

In a press release, the ARL said that Biscuit is "lucky to be alive" and is "likely traumatized by the event."
"While friendly and playful, the puppy is very nervous with new people and situations," the ARL said. "He will make for a wonderful pet and his new family will need to exercise patience with Biscuit to help him work through the trauma, let him know he's safe, and take the steps necessary to help him become a well-mannered young adult dog."
