BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Animal Rescue League of Boston will be taking cats from Animal Care Centers of New York City.

This comes after ACC announced in July that they will stop taking in more animals due to critical capacity issues. ARL reached out to ACC last month to help with their overflow, leading to this partnership.

These cats are being sent to ARL’s Dedham Animal Care & Adoption Center on Aug. 27. Foxy, (pictured above) Elaine, Tyrolean Grey, and Watercress (pictured below, in order) are the names of a few of those cats.

According to the organization, “ARL is the first female-founded animal welfare organization in Massachusetts and is proud to carry on a legacy of kindness and compassion, helping more than 20,000 animals annually since 1899.”
