BROOKLINE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Anna’s Taqueria, a Boston-based Mexican restaurant, will celebrate National Taco Day on Oct. 7 by releasing a new variety of taco.
Previous years’ additions include Birria Tacos in 2022, Chipotle Chicken in 2023, and Elote Carnitas and Barbacoa in 2024.
This year, the chain announced it’s getting ready to add the Chimichurri Steak Taco to the lineup.
Just like in previous years, the company is also taking customer suggestions on what new flavor should be added to the menu in 2026 for a chance to win a year-worth of free tacos.
“I want to see how weird they can get with a fish taco,” Angie told WBZ NewsRadio. Anna’s Taqueria currently does not have any seafood tacos on the menu. “Get creative with it,” she added.
John said he is all about the protein. “I’ll probably do one with a lot of meat, like chicken or steak [or] a combo,” he said.
Another resident thought outside the box and suggested “pigeon tacos.”
Meanwhile, the contest takes place next Tuesday, Oct. 7. A QR code to enter will be in-stores at one of Anna’s Taqueria's 10 locations, including JFK Corner, Porter Square, Davis Square, Beacon Hill, Newton, Prudential, Longwood, Woburn, Northeastern and Natick.
