BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The rain did not stop the annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace in Boston.
Hundreds of mothers who have lost children to violence walked the almost 7 miles from Dorchester to City Hall Plaza Sunday morning.
Lisa Robinson did it for her daughter, Aja.
“I have to represent her. I have to keep her memory alive,” Robinson said. “I want to walk in the rain as far as I can. I have congestive heart failure and spinal stenosis and severe asthma. So, we’re going to do as far as we can do. I have to. I have to. She lived a good life, she was good to people, and I need to make sure that she knows I haven’t forgotten her.”
