Annual Sand Sculpting Classic Underway At Hampton Beach

HAMPTON BEACH, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The annual Sand Sculpting Classic is underway this weekend at Hampton Beach, N.H.

Sculptors from all over the country are the world are currently working on their sand creations. One sculptor comes from as far as Italy.

"Right now we have 10 world-class master sculptors here," head organizer Greg Grady said.

Judges will make their picks Saturday night, and then the winner will be announced. First prize is $6,000.

“There’s no theme. I like to see different sculptures. That is like 40% of our judging criteria," Grady said.
