BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The annual Yarn Crawl event is back and is showcasing over a dozen shops in Boston and beyond that are bringing knitting connoisseurs and beginners together.

The event, which is celebrating its 10th year, features 15 local yarn shops located across the Greater Boston area.

Boston Fiber Company is one of those shops partaking in the crawl and owner Sara Ingle explained what exactly people can expect.

“Shopper’s, knitters, crocheters, fiber enthusiasts go from every store, and they get stamps for a passport, it’s just like a fun way to like broaden your knitting community,” said Ingle.

These passports allow customers to enter special drawings that feature all kinds of prizes.

“Depending on how many places you go, you can be entered into a drawing for a gift card, and you get a gift card wallet, so it’s gift cards from every shop,” said Ingle.

The different array of gift cards won’t be the only prizes people can win as the drawings also include limited edition knitting kits and prize baskets filled with different items from each respective store.

Each store is offering different experiences for its customers; some are hosting pizza parties and others are having group kitting sessions.

“I don’t often get the occasion to like drive everywhere and go everywhere so it’s like a nice fun thing to do with friends but also I get to see all different yarn stores in Massachusetts,” said one customer.

The event runs from Sept. 25 – 28, 2025 and you can find out more about it here.
