BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Here today and gone today has been the motto when it comes to high temperatures across the Bay State this season.

Residents are in the midst of a temperature rollercoaster, and many say they want to get off the ride.

"Rain, rain, cold, warm, cold, warm— what is it?" one resident said.

New Englanders lamented the random mid-week temperature drop. Some say the sudden changes come with the territory, with some days sunny, and others cold and rainy.

"Yeah, I haven't put my winter stuff away yet. Jackets — one day, I got a light one, then I got a heavy one. Someday I'm wearing a hat and the next day I don't need one," said another resident.

Still, some New Englanders are just glad that, fingers crossed, that the region is out of the woods when it comes to blizzards.

"The rain sucks, obviously, but it's better than snow, to be honest," one local said.

Massachusetts can expect rain to pile on top of the 20- to 30-degree temperature changes until Sunday, with temperatures bouncing between the 30s and 60s.
