BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) The Animal Rescue of League of Boston is shouting out some Good Samaritans who helped several stranded animals in Greater Boston.

Staff at BJ’s Wholesale Club discovered Billie Joe, a 2-year-old cat, wandering through the store last week, ARL said. Workers have started to hear meowing a few days before.

Billie Joe was taken to ARL in Dedham, and adopted soon after.

In Boston’s West Roxbury neighborhood, a couple visiting Massachusetts found a Pomeranian walking along a busy roadway.

The couple picked up 2-year-old Mighty and brought him to ARL of Boston. The organization said he was adopted this past week.

Over on Shawmut Ave, someone found a 1-year-old cat wandering late last month during a period of extreme cold, ARL said. No one could find Bonnie’s owner, so she was also taken to ARL. She was adopted last week.
