ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio)— A college graduate in Attleboro turned one of his college projects into a successful business.
Jack Flynn came up with the idea for Pure World during an entrepreneurship class at Babson College. The site sells hemp backpacks and other adventure gear that stemmed from his project.
"I remember keeping boxes of the bags underneath my bed," Fynn told WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe (@KimWBZ). "On campus, there's actually a post office so I would physically bring the bags to the post office every day before class."
Flynn, 23, lives at home with his parents, and he's projecting to make over $250,000 in sales this year alone. He said he named the company Pure World because the bags are organic and from nature, while the company is based on "global partnerships."

The hemp backpacks and gear sold by Pure World are manufactured by a family-run company in Nepal that Flynn partnered with. Flynn said he is planning on traveling to Nepal for a month to produce a documentary.
"I want to show our customers, this is us in Nepal where the bags are being made," Flynn said. "These are the people who are making the bags."
Bags retail on the Pure World website from around $47-$75.
