LAWRENCE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal shooting at a Lawrence nightclub early Sunday morning.
The Essex County District Attorney's Office said Lawrence police responded to shots fired at Energy Lounge at 459 Broadway around 12:20 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found Edward Javier-Perez, 29, suffering from a gunshot wound, officials said.
Javier-Perez was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the DA's office.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
