BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities are still investigating how a 30-year-old woman died in the elevator at her Allston apartment.
Resident said they heard screams at around 5 p.m. One woman told WBZ-TV she found a neighbor stunned outside the door of her first floor apartment and then she ran to see what happened.
"He pointed to the elevator and he said, 'she's dead, she's fallen down the elevator,'" she said.
According to residents, the elevator at the complex on 1140 Commonwealth Avenue, was on the older side. It features a double door system.
The victim was said to have been loading a package onto the elevator when it gave way. Police will review surveillance video of the scene and an autopsy will be performed.
