STONEHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — There Stone Zoo has a spiky new baby prehensile-tailed porcupine—or porcupette—on exhibit in Stoneham.

The porcupette was born Wednesday, and weighed just over a pound.

"Porcupettes are born with reddish-brownish hair that vill eventually change color, and quills that harden over time," the zoo said in a release. "They're mobile immediately after birth, and you can often spot the baby hanging out on a perch in the exhibit."

You can come see the baby along with its mom, Prickles, at the Stone Zoo now.
