BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Fairmont Copley Plaza placed third in pet-friendly hotels, according to a USA Today Readers’ Choice survey.
From a gourmet pet-themed menu to blowouts at a luxury pet spa, canines of all kinds are given plenty of ways to relax with their owners. The hotel’s Canine Ambassador, Cori Copley, is a black lab who welcomes guests and their pets as they enter.
Some guests like Devin and her bulldog, Bubba, from Bermuda, say they know what to expect when they bring their pet to the hotel.
“We chose here because we know the Fairmont’s always great with dogs, they’ve been very welcoming to Bubba,” Devin said. “It’s just nice when you walk in with your dog and everyone is friendly and says ‘hi,’ nobody gives you the side eye or wonders whether or not you should be here… It makes all the difference.”
For Boston residents like Megan and her dog Rover, they don’t even stay at the Fairmont Copley and are welcomed by the doormen with treats.
“I wake up early for work sometimes, so they’re not even out yet, and he will look through the doors, waiting for them,” Megan said.
Other hotels that ranked among the best pet-friendly hotels in the U.S. included The Peabody Memphis in Tennessee and Paséa Hotel & Spa in California.
