Baker Makes Historic Visit To Boston Mosque

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker

Governor Baker made some history in Roxbury Friday by attending Services in a mosque at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center.

Baker became the first sitting Republican Massachusetts Governor to attend the Mosque.

The message from governor Baker was that there is a lot more that "Unites us then divides us."

Speaking to reporters afterwards, the Governor said it was important for him to accept the invitation of the mosque and to show that he is the Governor of all the people of the Commonwealth

Approximately 1,500 congregants come to the center for each weekly prayer service.
