Baker Secures Funding For Women's Reproductive Health Through Title X

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gov. Charlie Baker signed a measure Monday designed to help women’s reproductive organizations in the state as the Trump administration threatens to pull back Title X funding across the country.

Baker thanked lawmakers for their quick work in passing the measure which authorizes the expenditure of up to $8 million to women’s reproductive organizations if the money is needed.

“And it was critically important to all of us that we move quickly to ensure that whatever changes took place, with respect to the Title X program, women here in Massachusetts would continue to have access on the same terms they’ve always had access to these services here in the Commonwealth,” Baker said.
