BARNSTABLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Barnstable Police announced on Sunday that a sergeant with the department had unexpectedly passed away.
Sgt. Jason Sturgis suddenly died Saturday night. He had been with the Barnstable Police Department for 19 years.
“Sgt. Sturgis touched many lives both here at the BPD and out in his community. He was greatly respected and will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him,” the department said in a statement.
