WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — You won’t need a broomstick, Portkey or Floo powder to make your way to the wizarding world of Harry Potter because Barrett’s Alehouse in West Bridgewater is bringing the magic to customers with its new themed redesign.
The restaurant has transformed itself into a wizard’s wonderland based upon the Harry Potter books and movies, a tradition they do every Halloween season.
“We just wanted to do something bigger and better than everyone else,” said General Manager Bianca Fontes.
Floating candles and pumpkins, giant spiders and Hogwarts house banners have been strung around the restaurant as well as plenty of other decorative references that will excite Potter fans.
“We have our fireplace all set up, we have our dragon, our troll, so we’ve been purchasing little things here and there as we see them, but it’s been quite an adventure putting everything together,” said Fontes.
Besides their dedication to the décor, the restaurant also serves multiple themed drinks that are inspired by the pages of the books.
“We have a Firewhisky drink, a Golden Snitch Spark as well, a Whomping Willow,” said Fontes.
The redesign will run until Halloween, and the restaurant will host multiple Harry Potter themed brunches, workshops and trivia games throughout the next month.
“It’s just a magical enchanted place that you can come in and just really enjoy it,” said Fontes.
