BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bay Staters are celebrating National Cheeseburger Day.
"It is very classic," one resident said.
Invented in 1926 by Chef Lionel Sternberger, the cheeseburger is considered a classic staple in food culture to some.
"There's nothing like a good burger on the grill," another resident stated.
Celebrated every year on Sept. 18, the holiday encourages foodies to indulge in their favorite burger.
"It reminds me of Will Smith's 'Summertime.' It sparks up nostalgia," another local remarked.
