BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bay Staters are preparing for another wicked hot day as oppressively hot temperatures linger on.
They say be careful what you wish for. After months of ice, sleet, snow, and rain, a heat advisory is in effect until 8 pm with even hotter temperatures forecasted through the weekend.
Residents like Julie from Southie said she has just been trying to survive the weather the past couple of days, especially Thursday.
"It was horrible!" exclaimed Julie. "I feel like I couldn't even go outside, like, and then I woke up this morning, and I thought it was gonna be like a crisp, nice air. Nope. It's so hot. I'm literally wearing a sweatshirt right now, I'm dying."

According to Accuweather, residents can expect Friday to be partly sunny and humid, with a late-day thunderstorm in certain areas, and highs near 85 and in the mid-90s inland.
Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs ranging from 88 to 92 and low to mid-80s for the Cape and Islands.
Sunday will still be quite warm, with highs near 89 and more clouds, showers, and a thunderstorm at night.
While Julie said she is over the hot temperatures, others, like Daniel, love the heat.
"I love the heat to be honest, so I'd way rather be sweating than freezing, so I'll take the heat any day," he said. "You just drink plenty of cold water and deal with that."
