BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It’s officially the ‘-ber’ months and fall is just around the corner.

The forecast for Saturday and Sunday said it's going to be clear skies and cool temps with highs in the mid-70s.

“These are the kind of days that all outdoor sports people look for and live for,” John from Kingston told WBZ NewsRadio.

Several South Shore residents soaked in the last few days of the summer sun ahead of the first day of fall on Sept. 22.

Another resident said he is not looking forward to the winter season.

“Cold, miserable and windy, so this is great,” he continued.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac said that peak fall foliage this year in New England is expected to be around mid to late October, with the northern part of the region seeing the first leaves change.

The National Weather Service predicted that most parts of New England will have above-seasonal temperatures until November.
