BC High School In Dorchester Closes For Coronavirus Cleaning

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston College High School in Dorchester has announced a two-day closure so that it can do a deep clean of the entire campus.

Although BC High said it has no cases of coronavirus at the school, it is taking Thursday March 12 and Friday March 13 to close all buildings, activities, and athletics to conduct a cleaning operation out of an abundance of caution.

Students at the Grade 7-12 Jesuit School for Boys have been instructed to access their academic work via the online educational platform Canvas.

In addition to the closure, Ignatian Values Day, scheduled for Friday March 13 has been canceled.

The school is asking any families who are traveling to report planned travel to school authorities.
