HINGHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bed Bath & Beyond shoppers looking to return or exchange merchandise will have to do so quickly.
The company announced that they will no longer accept returns and exchanges for items purchased before April 26, 2023 following the end of business day on Wednesday, May 24. Anything bought after April 26 is not returnable because it's considered part of final store closing sales.
Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy in April, with all stores planning to close following years of dismal sales and losses.
"I have tablecloths for every holiday," said Ruth, a customer picking up discounted items at the Hingham Harbor location. "All the napkins, every pot and pan, everything in my house."
"I’m sad, I’m sad that they’re closing," said Christy, another shopper.
There is no set date for when the final Bed Bath & Beyond stores will close. The Massachusetts store locations still open are Auburn, Braintree, Danvers, Foxboro, Hingham, Hyannis, Plymouth, and Somerville.
