BERNARDSTON, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts State Police have arrested a Vermont woman they say was carrying 1,100 bags of heroin in her car.

Police say 27-year-old Ashley Cloutier of Bellows Falls, Vermont was pulled over shortly before midnight Wednesday on Interstate 91 in Bernardston.

Officials say a trooper stopped Cloutier's car in response to numerous 911 calls made about an hour earlier regarding an erratic driver.

Officials say the heroin is valued at approximately $11,000.

Cloutier has been charged with trafficking heroin and multiple driving violations.

She was scheduled to be arraigned in Greenfield District Court on Thursday. It could not immediately be determined if she has a lawyer.
