BILLERICA, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Billerica-born Boston Bruin scored a goal during his first game in the National Hockey League on Thursday night.
In the Bruins' game against the New Jersey Devils, Marc McLaughlin sailed in a goal from an in-front-of-goal pass from Trent Frederic.
22-year-old McLaughlin brought the Bruins lead up to 7-1 over the Devils, late in the second period. The centerman previously played for the Boston College Eagles before signing a two-year entry level contract with the Bruins. The Eagles fell to the Northeastern Huskies in the Hockey East tournament this year.
McLaughlin also played with Team U.S.A at the Bejing Winter Olympics this year.
